For those of you wanting insane power out of your MR2, we have now came up with a DIY 2GR TURBO Swap package!
The 2GR turbo is an incredible machine. This setup will create nearly 500whp on 93 octane fuel, and 650whp on E85 fuel. With just a quick turn of the boost knob you can go anywhere from 375whp up to 650whp on the fly!
This setup is similar to how our DIY 2GR swap package works. We will supply you with all of the parts you need, you just supply the engine itself and the labor!

As far as the options go, there are a few options that come highly recommended when doing a 2GR turbo. If you opt for the twin disc clutch kit, you will receive a complete twin disc Clutchmasters clutch, along with new flywheel bolts. A twin disc clutch comes complete with flywheel and clutch assembly. If you do not select this option, you will need to purchase a 2GR flywheel (we sell these elsewhere on our site), and some form of clutch kit. Warning, the 2GR turbo makes insane torque (500ft.lbs on E85).
Another option is to add TCS Motorsports axles. Our axles are able to hold more horsepower than the factory axles do, and they are needed when doing a swap with this much power and torque. You can select to just buy the axles themselves, or purchase the axles WITH new TCS Motorsports axle stubs as well. If you have turbo model rear hub assembly, you would order the turbo axles, if you have a non turbo rear hub assembly, you would order the 'swap' axles.

This setup is not possible on the S54 non turbo transmission. If you do not have an E series transmission, I would not attempt to turbocharge the 2GR engine. It makes more power than we feel the non turbo transmission can handle.
If you purchase this kit, you will need to supply a 2GRFE engine. You will not need any wiring harness, as we will supply that. You will not need any 02 sensors, as we will supply that. As long as the 2GRFE engine you purchase has all of the sensors on the valve covers, you're good to go!
